Slideshow and photos from the conference |
The farewell session of Schumpeter 2010 included a slideshow with pictures from the conference. We have been asked to make this slideshow available, and you can now find it at http://www.schumpeter2010.dk/event/schumpeter-aalborg-2010.ppt (Powerpoint, 15 MB) The slideshow was produced by Maria Ehmsen. The photos used for the slideshow as well as her other photos have also been uploaded, but they do not cover the conference systematically and we do not have the time to add explanatory text. How to get a certificate for conference participation |
| Conference participation certificates are of interest to some but by far all participants in Schumpeter 2010. If you want a certificate you HAVE to send the request DIRECTLY TO the conference secretary JEANETTE HVARREGAARD <jhvarre@business.aau.dk> (and NOT to the conference's general email address). | |

One of the other participants in the session serves as discussant for a maximum of 5 minutes. Then the "chair & moderator" of the session discusses the paper shortly and questions from the floor are raised. Finally, the presenter replies; and more comments can be given - if there is time. Presenters and chairs should arrive between 10 and 15 minutes before the start of the session. |

Late conference registration and hotels |
The use of a separate registration website has meant that some participants have noticed a delay before they received the confirmation of their registration and hotel booking. We are sorry for this inconvenience. Those who are about to register during the next few days should receive their confirmation more quickly. Please note that we would like those presenting papers at the conference to register before the end of May. You should also note that the conference fee is no longer at the early-bird level. Furthermore, the offer of hotel rooms at reduced rates has reached its limit for two of the hotels. This means that rooms at reduced rates are now only available for the hotel connected to the conference site (Quality Hotel Aalborg) and for the Helnan Phønix Hotel. |

Development of the programme |
| The overall structure of the conference programme can be inspected by clicking on "program" in the menu at the right. What is MISSING in the present early version is primarily the assignment of papers for the parallel sessions. The near-final conference programme will be made available on 3rd June. The production of this version of the programme requires that correponding authors who have not yet send us abstracts and pdf files according to Step 3 should do so as soon as possible and at latest on 31th May 2010. | |

The availability of the conference papers |
| At the present website the papers of Schumpeter 2010 can be accessed by author(s) or by title. In addition, the website includes a list of "presentations" ordered according to their sequence of our uploading of them. However, you should note that these lists of papers are NOT COMPLETE before early June. At that time more than 200 papers should be available for everyone interested (including the discussants and chairpersons of parallel sessions). | |

The submitted papers are being reviewed |
The submitted papers are currently being reviewed and the decision will be sent to the authors before 1st April. Authors of accepted papers have to deliver the final paper before 31th May, and they will be given clear instructions on how to so. They will also be asked to confirm before 20th April that they intend to present the paper, and they will have to live up to a deadline for paying for the conference. This procedure should allow the conference organisers to deliver a nearly fixed conference programme on 3th June. |

A sad message on Bent Dalum |
| A sad message. Bent Dalum passed away in the morning of 29th January 2010. Just a week before he was at his best at the DRUID/DIME Winter Conference for PhD students. This serves to remind of his crucial contribution to the promotion of graduate training and innovation research locally, nationally and internationally. He was also a very active promoter of Schumpeter 2010 and member of its local organising committee. Birgitte Gregersen is the new head of the Department of Business Studies at Aalborg University and has joined the local organising committee for Schumpeter 2010. | |
