Abstract
This is an exploratory study aiming to describe the geographical inequalities in the access to innovative medical technology in Brazil. Inequalities will be analyzed considering the supply of two equipments, which represent technological innovation in the health area: magnetic resonance imaging and computed axial tomography. It is a descriptive study based on secondary data. The results indicate that the diffusion of new medical technology is positively associated with average income of the states, and suggests that inequalities of access has widened over time.
